Bouldering Meetup: Lizard’s Mouth 11/19/2023
Climb Out will be holding a bouldering meetup of its own on Sunday, November 19th at the Lizard’s Mouth climbing area. Meet at the parking area at 10am. This is a casual meetup with no formal instruction or guidance, though we will have a couple crash pads and a chalk bucket to share. We may also have a few pairs of shoes to borrow for those who show up early. From the trailhead, we will hike out ~0.25 miles to the Lizard’s Mouth rock, with stops along the way at other boulders depending on interest/skill level. You are more than welcome to join us on the short, scrambly hike and to hang out with us at the crag, even if you’re not planning on climbing!
What to bring: climbing shoes, chalk, and crash pad if available, sun protection, plenty of water, and something to snack on.
Directions: from highway 154, turn left onto West Camino Cielo and follow the road for about 4 miles. The trail into the Lizard’s Mouth area is located on the left, shortly before the road ends at the Winchester Gun Club. The trailhead is marked with a small sign “Lizard’s Mouth Trail.”
