Climb Out will be hosting a camping trip to Joshua Tree National Park from Friday, November 15th though Monday, November 18th with guided climbing provided by California Climbing School on Sunday, November 17th

All ages, sizes, and skill levels are welcome. That includes brand new climbers!

Schedule:
11/15 Arrive anytime after 2pm to set up camp.
11/16 Optional free day: arrange climbing meetups with fellow attendees, go off on your own and explore the park, or chill in camp.
11/17 A full day of climbing with guides and gear provided by California Climbing School!
11/18 Pack up and say our goodbyes.

Costs: California Climbing School has agreed to offer their services and gear on a sliding pay scale, so you will only pay as much as you can afford for the guided climbing. Additionally, Climb Out is covering the cost of the campsites. You will be responsible for paying for your pass into Joshua Tree National Park ($30 per vehicle), and for bringing your own camping supplies and food. You will also be responsible for arranging your own transportation to and from the park, though we will be facilitating a carpool spreadsheet starting one month before the trip. Please contact us directly if any financial or other assistance is needed.

After registering, you will receive an email from California Climbing School with a link to let them know what gear you’ll need to borrow and to set up payment. Your spot will not be considered reserved until you have completed this step. Please be certain that you are able to attend before beginning the registration process—we will not be able to issue refunds for any reason.

We have some additional room in our campsites for those attending to bring one parent, spouse, child, or friend along, though they will not be allowed to participate in the guided climbing without filling out a separate registration form. If you yourself wish to camp with us but do not wish to participate in the guided climbing, please register using this form. No payment or further action will be required.

Should spots fill up, you will be contacted and placed on a waitlist, and no payment will be required at this time.

Some other things to note:
Parking is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Please contact us directly if you would have trouble walking a potentially long distance to and from your vehicle so that we can reserve a parking spot for you.
The weather in Joshua Tree is unpredictable and often harsh. On our February trip, several tents and a canopy were damaged by high winds, and it rained off and on throughout the trip. Be prepared to either stick it out through less-than-ideal conditions, or else look into other lodging options in the area.
Because of the delicate nature of the park, we will not be allowing pets or non-service animals of any kind.

In order to register for both camping and guided climbing, please fill out the form below. If you do not wish to participate in the guided climbing on Sunday with California Climbing School, please fill out this form instead.

Your guest will not be participating in the guided climbing unless they fill out their own registration form.
