Climb Out will be hosting a camping trip to Joshua Tree National Park from Sunday, February 4th though Wednesday, February 7th with guided climbing provided by California Climbing School on Monday, February 5th!
All ages, sizes, and skill levels are welcome. That includes brand new climbers!
While we can only accommodate 15 climbers for the guided trip, we have some additional room in our camp site for those attending to bring one parent, spouse, child, or friend along, though they will not be allowed to participate in the guided climb. Any who do wish to participate will need to go through their own registration process prior to the event. Because of the delicate nature of the park, we will not be allowing pets or non-service animals of any kind.
Schedule:
2/4 Arrive at our group site in Sheep Pass to set up camp.
2/5 A full day of climbing with guides and gear from California Climbing School!
2/6 Optional free day: arrange climbing meetups with fellow attendees, go off on your own to explore the park, chill out in camp, or head home early.
2/7 Pack up and say our goodbyes!
Costs: California Climbing School has agreed to offer their services and gear on a sliding pay scale, so you will only pay as much as you can afford for the guided climbing. Additionally, Climb Out is covering the cost of the group site. You will be responsible for paying for your pass into Joshua Tree National Park ($30 per vehicle), and for bringing your own camping supplies and food. You will also be responsible for arranging your own transportation to and from the park, though we will be facilitating a carpool spreadsheet starting one month before the trip. Please contact us directly if any financial or other assistance is needed.
After registering, you will receive an email from California Climbing School with a link to let them know what gear you’ll need to borrow and to set up payment. Your spot will not be considered reserved until you have completed this step. Please be certain that you are able to attend before beginning the registration process—we will not be able to issue refunds for any reason.
